Headless offers a manual message-reaction command and separate automatic rules. Rules are stored per server and follow Discord permissions.

Manual reaction

Use .reaction or its .react alias to add one reaction to a linked message. This is a one-off action: it does not create a rule or change existing reactions.
Run the command in the same server as the message. Headless needs access to the channel, message history, and permission to add reactions.
1

Copy the link

Open the message menu and select Copy Message Link.
2

Add the reaction

Run the command with the link and a Unicode emoji or an available custom emoji from the server.
3

Check the result

Headless confirms the action or explains if the link, emoji, or permissions prevented it.
Also works: .react https://discord.com/channels/<server>/<channel>/<message> 😍

Automatic reaction triggers

Configure rules so Headless reacts to new messages. .reactiontrigger, .reactiontriggers, and .rtrigger invoke the same group. The root command shows status and the rule list; .reactiontrigger list shows the same list. Both the root command and its subcommands use the text prefix and require Manage Server (or the equivalent permission your server grants through Fake Permissions).
The global Dashboard → Modules → Autoresponder switch and Autoresponder’s local state must both be enabled. .ar toggle off pauses automatic replies and reaction triggers but keeps their rules for later.

Exact phrase

The trigger compares the entire message, ignoring case. It normalizes Unicode and repeated whitespace; it does not search for substrings or partial words. The normalized phrase must be 3–80 characters. Each server can have up to 20 text rules, with a two-second per-rule, per-channel cooldown to limit repeated high-volume matches.

React to every message in a channel

This mode adds up to three distinct emojis to each new message sent by a person in the configured channel. It supports text and announcement channels with at least 60 seconds of slowmode, native Discord Media channels, and text/announcement channels explicitly declared image-only with --images-only. In the latter two modes, Headless requires each message to contain a real image attachment; a link or preview does not count. In Media, this includes the post and its replies in the post’s thread. The flag records the administrator’s intent but cannot verify an external channel policy. Regular forums and standalone threads are not supported. A server can configure up to five channels.
Channel rules do not use the text-rule cooldown. For text/announcement channels configured by slowmode, Headless checks that slowmode is still at least 60 seconds before each message. In Media and text/announcement channels configured with --images-only, it reacts only when the message has an image attachment; links and previews do not count. Use the explicit mode only for channels intended for images.
1

Choose a supported destination

Use text/announcement channels with at least 60 seconds of slowmode, a native Media channel, or text/announcement channels you declare image-only with --images-only. Both image modes require an image attachment on each message. Regular forums and standalone threads are not supported.
2

Configure emojis

Run channel with one to three Unicode or same-server custom emojis. For text/announcement channels without enough slowmode, add --images-only at the end; include it again when updating the emoji list.
3

Review or remove the rule

Use list to review rules. Run channel again without emojis to remove that channel’s rule.
For a channel with sufficient slowmode, .reactiontrigger channel #introductions 😍 👋 also works without the flag. Run .reactiontrigger channel #introductions without emojis to remove its rule; the list marks channels configured in image-only mode.

Manage reaction rules

Use list to inspect rule IDs. creator shows who configured a rule, and remove deletes the selected rule; neither action removes reactions already added to earlier messages.
Each server can have up to 25 reaction triggers: 20 text rules and 5 channel rules. A channel rule adds at most three emojis to each new message. Text rules wait two seconds before reacting again in the same channel; channel mode processes every message that meets its conditions and does not use that cooldown. Discord may apply its own API rate limits.
A person configuring rules needs Manage Server (or the equivalent Fake Permissions grant). Headless needs View Channel and Add Reactions in the destination; for Media posts, these are checked again in the message thread. Custom emojis must be available in the same server. DMs, bots, webhooks, and commands do not trigger rules.
Rules use the existing PostgreSQL Autoresponder configuration and are isolated per server. Disabling Autoresponder or its global module switch pauses execution without deleting rules. .ar reset confirm clears automatic reply rules but preserves reaction triggers. .reactiontrigger creator <id> shows who configured a rule; it also accepts the propietario and autor aliases. Removing a rule does not remove reactions already added to earlier messages, and triggers are not applied retroactively.
Manual reactions, message triggers, and Reaction Roles are separate features. Reaction Roles grants a role when a member reacts; see its guide.
