# Commands & controls

> Headless VC registers a prefix command group with the `vcprivado` and `pc` aliases; the default prefix is `.` and can vary by server. The 22 entries below are the real root group and its registered subcommands.

## Configure the module

The root group directly checks native Manage Channels before showing the status/setup panel; inside an active room it points members to the global panel. The `lobby`, `category`, `panel`, `on`, and `off` subcommands accept native Manage Channels or a compatible Headless virtual permission; `role` accepts native or virtual Manage Roles.

### `.privatevc lobby`

```headless-command Syntax theme={null}
.privatevc lobby <channel>
```

```headless-command Example theme={null}
.privatevc lobby #Create-VC
```

### `.privatevc category`

```headless-command Syntax theme={null}
.privatevc category <name>
```

```headless-command Example theme={null}
.privatevc category Private
```

### `.privatevc role`

```headless-command Syntax theme={null}
.privatevc role <role>
```

```headless-command Example theme={null}
.privatevc role @VC-Access
```

### `.privatevc on`

```headless-command Syntax theme={null}
.privatevc on
```

```headless-command Example theme={null}
.privatevc on
```

## Room controls

Except for `claim`, room controls require the actor to be inside a registered room and be its current owner. `claim` lets an occupant take ownership only when the previous owner is no longer present. Changes update Discord overwrites and are saved per server.

### `.privatevc panel`

```headless-command Syntax theme={null}
.privatevc panel
```

```headless-command Example theme={null}
.privatevc panel
```

### `.privatevc permit`

```headless-command Syntax theme={null}
.privatevc permit <member>
```

```headless-command Example theme={null}
.privatevc permit @Member
```

### `.privatevc deny`

```headless-command Syntax theme={null}
.privatevc deny <member>
```

```headless-command Example theme={null}
.privatevc deny @Member
```

### `.privatevc kick`

```headless-command Syntax theme={null}
.privatevc kick <member>
```

```headless-command Example theme={null}
.privatevc kick @Member
```

### `.privatevc transfer`

```headless-command Syntax theme={null}
.privatevc transfer <member>
```

```headless-command Example theme={null}
.privatevc transfer @Member
```

### `.privatevc limit`

```headless-command Syntax theme={null}
.privatevc limit [limit=0]
```

```headless-command Example theme={null}
.privatevc limit 5
```

### `.privatevc lock`

```headless-command Syntax theme={null}
.privatevc lock
```

```headless-command Example theme={null}
.privatevc lock
```

### `.privatevc delete`

```headless-command Syntax theme={null}
.privatevc delete
```

```headless-command Example theme={null}
.privatevc delete
```

## Arguments and outcomes

Use actual member and role mentions. `category` requires an exact existing name; `limit` is clamped to 0–99 and 0 means unlimited; `name` is sanitized and capped at 90 characters. `region auto` restores automatic region selection; Discord may reject an unsupported region.

## Steps

**1. Confirm the current room**

Join the room you intend to manage before running an owner control.

**2. Use the specific command**

Make one change at a time and verify the target, especially for `deny`, `kick`, or `transfer`.

**3. Check the result**

Verify the channel, permissions, capacity, and updated owner in Discord.

> [!WARNING]
>
> `deny` may remove access and attempt to disconnect a member; `kick` moves them out; `delete` removes your room. Confirm the channel and target before running them. Automatic cleanup pauses when you run `off`.

**Note:**

Every entry is a bot prefix command, not a slash command. `privatevc` also accepts the root aliases `vcprivado` and `pc`; several subcommands have additional Spanish aliases.

Headless-generated panel labels and confirmations are shown in English by default. Channel, category, role, and member names remain the values configured in Discord.
