# TikTok

> TikTok lookups are limited to the account the same person linked through Headless Dashboard and the scopes they authorized. This integration uses TikTok Login Kit and Display API for read-only access.

## Link an account

`.tt connect` shows access to the official OAuth flow; finish authorization from your Headless Dashboard session. The app requests `user.info.basic` and `video.list`. Tokens are encrypted at rest in PostgreSQL and associated with that person's Discord ID. Never paste tokens into the bot.

## Profile and videos

The `.tt` group and `profile` retrieve the authorized profile; `videos` shows up to five posts and offers cursor-based navigation. `video` retrieves a detail for an ID belonging to the linked account. Slash lookup results are ephemeral; pagination controls belong to the person who started the lookup.

## Refresh and disconnect

Headless attempts to refresh a session near expiry. `disconnect` requests remote TikTok revocation when credentials are available, but remote revocation is best-effort; the user's local vault link is always removed. Video publishing is unavailable.

## Steps

**1. Connect your own account**

Run `.tt connect` or `/tiktok connect` and follow authorization in the official Dashboard.

**2. Read authorized content**

Use `.tt p`, `.tt vids`, or `.tt v <ID>`; the API limits returned data to granted scopes.

**3. Remove the connection**

Run `.tt disconnect` and confirm the bot no longer returns the linked account.

* **`.tiktok video <video_id>` (`v`, `detail`, `detalle`)** — **Slash command:** `/tiktok video video_id` · **Result:** Looks up a video from your own linked account. · **Prefix cooldown:** 5 s
* **`.tiktok connect` (`conectar`)** — **Slash command:** `/tiktok connect` · **Result:** Opens access to official OAuth for your own account. · **Prefix cooldown:** 10 s
* **`.tiktok disconnect` (`desconectar`)** — **Slash command:** `/tiktok disconnect` · **Result:** Attempts remote revocation and removes the local credential. · **Prefix cooldown:** 10 s

> Headless does not publish videos or access another person's account. If TikTok rejects a lookup, a scope is missing, or the refresh token expires, reconnect from the official Dashboard; never share credentials.

**Note:**

The callbacks declare no elevated Discord permissions. Lookups and disconnect use the invoking Discord user's ID; OAuth authorization is per-person.
